We feed the needy – A hope in gloomy period!!

The enormity of Covid-19 pandemic needs no description. Almost all the residents of our country have felt the wounds and agony in the form of either affliction or demise of their near and dear ones.

Mumbai, the business capital of our nation, has felt the pinch more severely. Underpayment and unemployment has severely affected the disposable income of Mumbaikars. Nearly 30 percentage increase in healthcare expenses has grown a pimple upon an ulcer!

At present, we shall confine ourselves to the diet problems being faced by two main categories of people; those who are home quarantined due to being Covid positive or because of their family members being tested positive and the Senior Citizens residing alone. In this bleak current situation, Uttam Aahar has continued to help this section of society in need by offering free food in the radius of 5 Kilometres from our Vikhroli Outlet. All such meals, Meals were home-delivered for free to all those who were home isolated and did not have the means or the ability to feed themselves.

Due to the spread of our noble services, Uttam Aahar received calls on regular basis from Senior Citizens who were confined to their flats because of their old age and had diet problems as they had no one to bring meals for them. Our service-spared and recognition of devotion would be obvious from the fact that Uttam Aahar received many calls for food delivery from not just Mumbaikars residing in this beautiful city all across but the residents of few Western Countries to serve lunch and dinner to their senior citizen relatives in Powai which were well prepared to suite the dietary and nutritional requirements of our users in need!!

Our Organization has tried to do our bit in the shadow of this Carona-19 pandemic by feeding the needy section to great extent, within our financial constraints, and the beneficiary of our free food program would be in several hundreds. The blessings of these Corona-hit categories are a great motivation to Uttam Aahar, our NGO, it’s volunteers and the whole team.
